Product: Moitié-moitié (lit. half and half) is a traditional Swiss cheese fondue originating from Fribourg. The main ingredients are Gruyère and Appenzeller, both present in identical quantities, hence the name of the specialty.
To prepare it, the cheeses are melted with the other ingredients in a large pot or fondue pot. Once melted, the pot is placed on a flame burner to keep it warm. Pieces of bread, traditionally country bread, are then dipped into the cheese mixture using long, special forks.
