Saveur du Maquis has a natural rind that is covered with
rosemary, thyme, juniper berries, and other aromatic herbs found in the
rocky, brambly Corsican landscape. These ground cover plants are
known as "maquis". The herbaceous quality of the sheep's milk is
enhanced by the herbs on the rind.
From being shepherds in corsica, the family Pierucci has
kept traditional know-how since 1912. The specific flavour of their
cheeses comes from the rich and natural diet provided to goats in
Corsica mountains. Received a gold medal at the Concours
général Agricole 2017.
